Abstract

 Photovoltaic power systems are becoming increasingly popular due to their advantages compared to traditional energy sources. But besides that, this system also causes negative effects on the electrical power system quality. In this paper, the author focuses on researching and evaluating the total voltage harmonic distortion THDv in the distribution grid connected PV system. Furthermore, the paper presents a solution for eliminating high harmonic waves, by the LC filter. The study has carried out by the model of the PV system and the grid of the IEEE-13 node built on the Matlab/Simulink software. The simulated results show the accuracy and practicality of the research.
